The privacy problem Frost Matte 2 mil answers
Madico Frost Matte 2 mil is for clear glass that shows more of a room than the people inside want. Clear glass offices, meeting rooms and washrooms leave people on display. Blinds close off the daylight along with the view, and swapping in real etched glass means replacing the pane. A film can change the look of glass already in place.
How Frost Matte 2 mil blurs the view and keeps the light
Frost Matte transmits 67% of visible light, so rooms stay bright, and reflects 18% on both faces. Madico lists glare reduction at 25% and UV rejection at 99% or more. Total solar energy rejected is 31%, so heat control is a side effect here and privacy is the job.
Where Frost Matte 2 mil fits best
NorthGuard suggests Madico Frost Matte 2 mil for jobs like these.
- Office meeting rooms and glass partitions that need a softer sightline
- Restaurant glass that separates dining areas
- Home entry door glass and sidelights
- Washroom or bathroom windows where daylight should stay
What Frost Matte 2 mil will not do
Madico Frost Matte 2 mil has limits that NorthGuard states before any quote.
- Translucent is not opaque: light passes and detail blurs, so Frost Matte gives privacy but not a full block.
- A 67% visible light figure means a slight dimming compared with clear glass.
- Madico's page publishes no thickness and does not name the mounting side, so both are confirmed before work.
