Etched-glass style privacy without replacing the glass

The plain-glass problem Decolite Misty Dew answers

Madico Decolite Misty Dew is for plain glass that needs some privacy and a finished look. Open offices, reception desks and washroom doors need some privacy, but solid blinds close off the light. Plain clear glass can also be walked into. A pattern on the glass solves both.

How Decolite Misty Dew changes the look of the glass

Decolite Misty Dew is part of Madico's Decolite designer line, which copies the look of etched glass with a pattern. Madico says the line blocks up to 99% of UV, softens glare and has a scratch resistant surface. The film can be cut into custom designs and removed without damaging the glass.

Where Decolite Misty Dew fits best

NorthGuard suggests Madico Decolite Misty Dew for jobs like these.

• Glass entry doors that need a patterned privacy finish
• Retail windows and displays that want a designer look
• Spa and fitness centre glass and bathroom windows
• Reception areas, offices and school glass

What Decolite Misty Dew will not do

Madico Decolite Misty Dew has limits that NorthGuard states before any quote.

• Madico's brochure limits Decolite to interior installs and says to keep it out of steam rooms and indoor pool enclosures.
• Madico's page publishes no light transmission or solar figures for Misty Dew, so no heat or light claims are made here.
• A pattern is a matter of taste, so judge it on a sample before committing to a whole window.
