The result is produced by a deterministic rule set, not an AI model: the same answers always produce the same recommendation, and the plan tells you which of your answers drove it. Is the planner a quote?
No. It gives you a film category, an approximate scope and an honest list of what still needs checking. NorthGuard prices a project after measuring the glass, so the planner shows 'Price requires project review' rather than a number we haven't verified.
Do I have to give my contact details to see the result?
No. The plan appears on screen first. Sending it to yourself and requesting a measured quote is a separate, optional step at the end.
What if I don't know what my glass is?
Every technical question accepts 'Not sure'. Anything unknown is flagged as 'compatibility to be verified' instead of being guessed at — film selection depends on the pane build-up, so we confirm it on site.
Do I need to measure my windows?
No. Quick count mode uses small, medium, large and patio-door size buckets and is always available. Measure It mode (width × height × quantity per group) is an optional upgrade if you want a tighter number.
Can film give me privacy at night and still let me see out?
No, and the planner says so. Reflective one-way film depends on the outside being brighter than the inside. After dark with interior lights on, that reverses. If you ask for both, the planner flags the conflict instead of recommending a film that cannot do it.
Does an AI decide what film I need?
No. The planner runs a fixed rule set. The same answers always produce the same recommendation, and every result explains which of your answers produced it.
